WINE WALK from Dirtopia Trail Centre

This is a fun social walk starting at Dirtopia Trail Centre at Muratie Wine Estate, where you’ll be treated to a mimosa on arrival.  The total hike loop is approximately 3.5km in total hiking trail with hand-built steps, where you get rewarded with a tasting of 4 of Muratie wines at the look-out. View of Simonsberg and Table Mountain in the distance, and the hike down is through the forest. Bring good (closed) walking shoes, backpack with water, hat, snacks (if you like), jacket and of course water bottle.

VENUE: Start and finish at Dirtopia Trail Centre, Muratie Wine Estate, Stellenbosch

TIME: For registration from 09h00, so that we can start the walk by 9.30am and will be back by 11.30pm

DISTANCE: Approximately 3.5km in total

COST: R245 Kids U18 R100 and will receive one juice instead of wine

INCLUDES: Day permit for marked route and wine tasting on top of the mountain.

SCHEDULE:
09h00 – 09h25: Registration. You will receive an armband that will give you access to the route and wine tastings.
09h30: Start the walk at leisurely pace.
09h30 until 10.30am: Walk to look-out at your own time for a Rose tasting and then follow the route down in the vineyard to the next red wine tasting spot.
11h00/12h00: Arrival back at Dirtopia Trail Centre.
