DESCRIPTION:End the long Easter weekend in the outdoors and perhaps you’ll spot the Easter bunny on the singletrack at Muratie. \nAlways a special trail running experience with Simonsberg as backdrop and this event will create more Easter weekend memories! Everyone gets an Easter Egg. \nDATE: Monday\, 6 April 2026 \nVENUE: Muratie Wine Farm\, Knorhoek Road\, off R44 near Stellenbosch \nREGISTRATION: From 07h30 at Dirtopia Trail Centre on Muratie \nDISTANCES & START TIMES: 6km: 08h45 & 12km: 08h30 \nCOST: \nPre-entries (closing online Friday 3 April’26) \n6km – R165 and 12km – R220 \nEnter HERE: www.dirtpass.co.za \nKids under the age of 18 pay only R75 pre-entry. \nLate entries will be taken on event day at an additional fee. NB: Late entry kids under 18 pay the normal late entry fee \nTiming by Amarider Trail Tag – available for rent (R25) or to buy (R100). \nROUTE DESCRIPTIONS:  \nWith a rich history\, this charming wine farm is nestled on the foot of the Simonsberg that gives us access to special hand-built singletrack trails. Special Easter medal to first 250 entries and other finishers also get a generic Dirtopia medal.  A refreshment station on both routes will have Powerade\, fruit and Coke at the finish for all! Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers\, wine from Muratie and more prizes for the winners are the top three male & females of each distance\, as well as in the lucky draw.  There will be coffee\, drinks and food for sale. Relax on the lawn with some wine while waiting for the lucky draws! \n

SUMMARY:Wine Walk @ Muratie - 16 May
DESCRIPTION:This is a fun social walk starting at Dirtopia Trail Centre at Muratie Wine Estate\, where you’ll be treated to a mimosa on arrival.  The total hike loop is approximately 3km on a steep vineyard loop where you get rewarded with a tasting of 4 of Muratie wines. Right next to where the cultivars grow!  View of Simonsberg and Table Mountain in the distance\, while you walk back to the Muratie werf. Please note that you need a relative amount of fitness\, as it is not a flat ‘walk in the park’. \nBring good (closed) walking shoes\, backpack with water\, hat\, snacks (if you like)\, jacket and of course water bottle. \nThis is a relaxed event with lots of socializing and so that you can enjoy the Wineland scenery of the Stellenbosch outdoors! Ensure you book by the Friday before event by 12h00. Limited tickets and all must be done online.The Trail Centre will be open early for snacks and cold drink sales. Please note that any drinks before\, during or after the walk is for your own account. \nVENUE: Start and finish at Dirtopia trail Centre\, Muratie Wine Estate\, Stellenbosch \nTIME: For registration from 09h00\, so that we can start the walk by 9.30am and will be back by 11.30pm \nDISTANCE: Approximately 3km in total \nCOST: R245 Kids U18 R100 and will receive one juice instead of wine \nBooking online tickets are essential: www.dirtpass.co.za/product/tickets or Entryninja.com or Quicket.co.za \nINCLUDES: Day permit for marked route and wine tasting on top of the mountain. \nSCHEDULE:\n09h00 – 09h25: Registration. You will receive an armband that will give you access to the route and wine tastings.\n09h30: Start the walk at leisurely pace.\nA short briefing will take place before you follow the marked route. \n09h30 until 10.30am: Walk to look-out at your own time for a Rose tasting and then follow the route down in the vineyard to the next red wine tasting spot. 11h00/12h00: Arrival back at Dirtopia Trail Centre. \n\nGET TICKETS HERE
