Walkers welcome. Kids welcome. \n5km – Short route runners will follow the same markers as the long distance to the ridge and central point at Gilloolys with a great view where you will find a water point. Head down the HoChiMihn singletrack forest and hope you make it back to Muratie…\n10km – An extra loop after the refreshment station about half-way at Gillooly’s. More forest single-track = more time to be spooked… \nGENERAL INFO: Pre-entries will save big time and a 2024 halloween medal to all finishers! A South African jazz musician and composer who grew up in District Six\, Cape Town.\nHe started playing professionally in 1970 and performed and recorded albums with renowned South African pianist\, Abdullah Ebrahim (Dollar Brand). \nIn South Africa he worked as an entertainer for the Holiday Inn Group as well as on the Southern Sun and Sun International entertainment circuit\, including Sun City.\nInternationally he performed at the Hilton Hotel in Abudhabi\, the Royal Meridien in Dubai\, the Hilton Hotel as well as the Shangri La Hotel in Shanghai. \nLional plays the double bass\, the electric bass and is a vocalist.\nHis repertoire includes jazz standards such as music by Nat King Cole\, Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra and this multi talent of a musician is followed and adored by fans the world over. \nAccompanied with classic traditional Muratie a la cart menu\, paired with world class\, hand crafted wines.

DESCRIPTION:The band Dire Straits was originally formed in London in 1977 and they soon reached the top of the British charts with their single ‘Sultans of Swing’. What followed was a juggernaut of hits lasting through the ’80’s up until 1995 when the band decided to call it a day. Mel Botes and his band have been performing the songs of Dire Straits at venues across South Africa since 2014.
