Coffee, Music & Wine with Bottomless Coffee & Muratie

Bottomless Coffee Band is a local multi-instrumental alternative duo, Lourens and Esté Rabé. Their style can best be described as folk-pop, with a hint of the blues, and a touch of classical. After touring nationally and internationally for a few years, Bottomless Coffee Band continue to enthral fans with their deeply personal performances of songs from their albums Room With A View, Anthelia and Sitkamer Session compilation.

In this “episode” of Coffee, Music and Wine we visit Muratie Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. We talk about their incredible history. We sing songs in the vineyard, in the garden and everywhere in the cellar. We do a Moroccan Coffee Ceremony with the team and, of course, we taste the wines of which every bottle represents a unique part of their history. This one is going to be special!

About the show

Lourens and Esté says:

“We recently started the Coffee, Music and Wine concept which takes on the format of concerts and podcasts.  This idea has been brewing in the back of our minds for quite some time, but during lockdown we could finally bring the concept into fruition.

It started off as Facebook and Instagram LIVES where we would check in with fans, share a cup of coffee, sing our songs and open a bottle of wine.  We would talk about the wine farm and taste the wine during the LIVE.

The moment we could mobilize our incredible team again, we decided to film these concerts on a higher production level, adding a few interesting elements and even visiting the wine farm for the filming of the concert.  We are loving every second of this new found way to make ends meet during this interesting time.

The concert includes stories, interviews, coffee, wine and lots of music.  We also release a podcast with the featured wine farm where we talk to interesting people that our paths have crossed with during our career in music.”
